Tilak S. Ramaprakash — Experienced Pilot with Auditor Certifications

A contract pilot for AvJet Solutions, Inc., Tilak S. Ramaprakash prepared for his career by earning an Associate’s degree in Aviation Maintenance Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Technology from Purdue University. Among his first aviation positions, Tilak S. Ramaprakash worked in line and hanger maintenance at Fort Wayne Air Service where he maintained company aircraft used for charter and flight instruction as well as managing ground support equipment such as fuel trucks and deicing equipment.

Upon receiving an Airline Transport Pilot license, Tilak Ramaprakash began working as a captain and first officer. Between 1996 and 2009, he flew Boeing 727s, among other aircraft, at Custom Air Transport, Midroc Aviation, and Bel-Air Aviation.

In 2008, Mr. Ramaprakash began work as a flight simulator instructor for Boeing, and in 2009, he began flying Boeing 777s for Air India. He returned to Purdue University to earn a Master’s degree in Aviation and Aerospace Management. Today, he holds multiple auditor certifications, including IS-BAO Auditor, IS-BAH Auditor, Aviation Lead Auditor, and ISO 9001 Lead Auditor. He has served as a freelance contract pilot at AvJet Solutions since 2015.
